H.S.K. TINY TIGERS
HSK
TINY TIGERS is a Shotokan Karate Based class for the younger child. Aimed
at 4-8 year
olds, it is a 45 minute class designed to improve agility, flexibility,
strength, co ordination and balance as well as the basics of Karate in a fun but
safe environment. It has been shown to boost confidence as well as
promoting discipline and respect. It is a great way to channel energy and
meet new friends for those too young to enter a structured Karate class.
TINY TIGERS may
enter the structured Karate class from age 7 upwards but can
stay in TINY TIGERS until they
are 8 if they wish. TINY TIGERS instructors
are all Karate trained and are CRB (criminal records bureau) checked.
TINY TIGERS wear karate suit trousers and a TINY TIGERS T shirt. There will be regular assessments for the TINY TIGERS. Those that pass will receive a TT merit badge which can be sewn onto the TT T-shirt. There are 8 levels in all and depending how far the TINY TIGER progresses, grades will be automatically awarded when they enter the Karate class.
Classes
are Saturday 9.30am to 10.15am at the Ridgeway Centre, Buckskin Lane. Fees
are
£3 per session or if paid monthly £9. There
is an annual membership fee of £12.
Assessment fee is £5.
This assessment fee also includes the merit badge
and certificate. Assessments will be held
every 2-3 months when the TINY
TIGER is deemed ready.
