NEWS
Open day Demo
Again we have been asked to do a Demo at the Ridgeway Centre open day, date to follow , if you want to participate you must comply with the following.
Be allowed to with parental consent
Attend the training sessions planned to learn the routine
Be committed to it
Guarantee you will turn up.
Let Sensei Amanda know once your parents agree to it.
We intend to improve on the routine already practised.
Student of the Month
Well done to Georgia who has been voted Student of the month for July, the last 3 winners have been girls, so come on boys sort yourselves out and show us what you can do.
Posters, Booklets are being produced by Dougie on good quality paper, they are a good addition to your training material, you have instant reference to your training. Available from Sensei Amanda or Dougie at a small cost .
Gi and Equipment
We currently get favourable rates with an International Martial Arts supplier (Blitz), if you need anything we can bring in the brochure and get you a good price, whatever is quoted I will add the P&P, items are normally delivered within a few days to our house.
Club badge
I will be contacting a supplier who can Embroider our RSKC badge onto clothing, we have to pay a set up charge then order as required, normally these people charge about £5 per item. We (as a club) can look at buying T shirts from a shop and get them done, this would reduce costs by as much as 50%, so a shirt from soccer sports £5 +£5 for embroidery = £10, compared to a shirt from the supplier £12 + £5 embroidery +mark up £2 = £19.
We will get a shirt or something done as a sample, I am thinking white or Light Blue shirt to copy our website front page. Your thoughts please, we don't mind parents buying and wearing as it is good for all of us.
Future Training
Dougie has produced a CD of the competition which will be used as a training aid for all .
Adults and some senior children will start to study the real application of technique within Kata, both will be delivered through laptop, be prepared to sit and watch, learn, practice. Remember you only get back what you put in, so a good understanding is required to progress through the karate ranks.
Training
